MEMBERSHIP

Members must hold a valid Canadian Possession and Acquisition License (PAL) to apply for membership to firearm sections.


Archery and Fishing are accepting new members.

Archery: Accepting New Members. The main practice range is floodlit and open 24/7. The 2nd practice range and the 3D course are open from 30 minutes prior to sunrise until 30 minutes after sunset. Crossbows are permitted.

Fishing: Accepting New Members. Our stocked fishing pond is open from the last Saturday in April through to the last Saturday in September. During the season, the pond is open 7 days a week from 30 minutes prior to sunrise until 30 minutes after sunset. A valid Ontario fishing license is required to fish the club pond.

Handgun: Closed - Please check back in October/November for information regarding the 2027 Intake.

The range is open 7 days a week from 9:00am to sunset (Monday to Friday, 8:00pm on Wednesdays) and 9:00am-5:00pm (Saturday/Sunday).  

Membership in the The Sportsmens Club Galt Handgun Section is highly sought after.  Potential members must first apply during the annual intake period and if accepted, complete a club mandated safety course prior to commencing their probationary period.

Rifle: Closed

No further applications will be accepted for this range or waitlist until further notice.  

Clay Target:  Waitlisted

To join the waitlist for clay target, please complete the Clay Target Waitlist Registration

A one-time $50 registration fee applies to all waitlist registrations.  This will be discounted from your membership should you accept the place when it is available.  The fee is not refundable if you choose not to accept your membership place.

    • All new clay target members must take the section orientation and safety course.
    • All new clay target members will be required to complete a supervision period of up to 6 months, during which time the probationary member may not bring guests until probation requirements are met.
    • The cost for the orientation and supervision is $400.  This is in additional to membership and club initiation fees.

MEMBERSHIP FEES

General Membership Fee

This is paid by all members

  • $350 per year for an individual or 
  • $370 per year for a family (A family is the primary member, their spouse and any dependents under the age of 19.)

Discounts apply for full time students under 25 and seniors over 65.

Initiation Fee

  • $100 one-time fee (provided your membership does not lapse)

Annual Section Fees

Members pay the applicable fee for the sections they wish to join.  For wait listed sections, this fee is only payable once a place is the section is available to you.

Open/Available Sections

  • Fishing - $45
  • Archery (Outdoor) - $45
  • Archery (Indoor & Outdoor) - $95

Waitlisted/Restricted Sections

  • Clay Target (Trap/Skeet/Sporting Clay) - $100
  • Rifle - $60
  • Handgun - $85
  • Indoor Range (Handgun and/or Rifle (pistol calibre)) - $99

You must be a member of the applicable outdoor discipline before you are able to shoot that discipline indoors.  Eg. An outdoor archery member may not shoot handgun indoors unless they are also a member of the handgun section.
