Archery: Accepting New Members The range is open 7 days a week from 9am to sunset (Monday to Friday) and 9am-5pm (Saturday/Sunday).  There are options for standard and 3D animal target shooting. Crossbows are permitted.

Fishing: Accepting New Members Our stocked fishing pond will reopen in Spring 2022. The pond is open 7 days a week from 30 minutes prior to sunrise until 30 minutes after sunset. A valid Ontario fishing license is required to fish the club pond.

Handgun (Outdoor): Intake Opens 1 Dec. 2021

The range is open 7 days a week from 9:00am to sunset (Monday to Friday, 10:00pm on Wednesdays) and 9:00am-5:00pm (Saturday/Sunday).  

Membership in the The Sportsmens Club Galt Handgun Section is highly sought after.  Potential members must first apply during the annual intake period and if accepted, complete a club mandated safety course prior to commencing their probationary period.

  • Applications will be accepted by email only beginning 1 December, 2021 12:01AM. 
  • Any applications received before this time will not be considered. 
  • Applications that are not signed by a current member of the Galt Handgun Section will not be accepted.
  • A limit of 60 applications will be accepted for the 2022 year.
  • In person applications will not be accepted.

Please review and complete the following application documents prior to 1 December, 2021.

Rifle (Outdoor):  Waitlisted 

To be added to the wait list, you must first be a member of the club and maintain your membership to retain your position on the wait list.  Section fees for rifle are only applicable once you have been offered a place in the section. 

Wait time is currently approximately 18-24 months from when you join the club.. 

The range is open 7 days a week from 9am to sunset (Monday to Friday) and 9am-5pm (Saturday/Sunday).

Clay Target:  Waitlisted

  1. Please review the Clay Target Range Rules and Firearm Guidelines for The Sportsmens Club Galt to ensure that we meet your requirements.
  2. Register for the Clay Target Section Waitlist.  The $100 registration fee covers the Clay Target Safety Orientation which must be completed before your membership can be processed.  The Clay Target section will accept 12 new members each month.

As a member of Clay Targets, you can use the Skeet, Trap and Sporting Clay areas and will receive member rates on your target purchased.  These are $5 per 25 targets (Skeet/Trap) and $17 per 50 targets (Sporting Clay). The range is open Noon-10pm Wednesday, 10am-3pm Saturday and 9am-5pm Sunday.  Sporting Clay hours may vary during the winter depending on light.


General Membership Fee

This is paid by all members

  • $315 per year for an individual or 
  • $330 per year for a family (A family is the primary member, their spouse and any dependents under the age of 19.)

Discounts apply for full time students under 25 and seniors over 65.

Initiation Fee

  • $100 one-time fee (provided your membership does not lapse)

Annual Section Fees

Members pay the applicable fee for the sections they wish to join.  For wait listed sections, this fee is only payable once a place is the section is available to you.

Open/Available Sections

  • Fishing - $45
  • Archery - $45
  • Indoor Range (Archery Only) - $50
  • Indoor Range (General) - $95 
General indoor range membership is restricted to current members of the outdoor handgun and rifle sections.

Waitlisted/Restricted Sections

  • Clay Target (Trap/Skeet/Sporting Clay) - $30
  • Rifle (Outdoor) - $50
  • Handgun (Outdoor) - $85

You must be a member of the applicable outdoor discipline before you are able to shoot that discipline indoors.  Eg. An outdoor archery member may not shoot handgun indoors unless they are also a member of the outdoor handgun section.
